Lead Pastor Job - Grace Bible Church, Barrington, New Jersey

The Lead Pastor will minister alongside his fellow elders who are responsible for the spiritual oversight, leadership, and care of the church body - this includes training and equipping the saints at Grace for the work of ministry. Consequently, he must meet the Biblical standards of eldership as laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Additionally, he will be responsible for the oversight of the day to day operations of the church office.

We are seeking a collaborative leader who will work with the elders, trustees, and congregation in refining, championing, and stewarding the church's mission and vision. The Lead Pastor should embrace the current mission and vision and should provide effective leadership and guidance to the elders and congregation in the development and implementation of strategic plans for the future health of the church. We recognize that our church needs to develop an external focus and a culture of evangelism. The old paradigm of attracting and retaining visitors is no longer working in our 21st-century culture. We need a pastor who can model what it looks like to go into the world and make disciples.

We are seeking a Lead Pastor whose words, actions, and lifestyle resemble those of Christ. The Lead Pastor should model and teach love, humility, and unity through his preaching, teaching, counseling, and hospitality. His care for people's spiritual well-being should foster the trust of the people and motivate them to follow his lead. We need a shepherd who will motivate us to fulfill our mission and vision and mobilize us to truly impact our surrounding_noemailmunity for the glory of God.
The Lead Pastor will allot the primary amount of his time throughout the week to the ministry of the Word and prayer. He will be an example and mentor for the church family, modeling godliness in every_noemailpartment of his life. In addition to teaching on Sundays, the Lead Pastor will be expected to conduct or participate in church-life events like weddings, funerals, and counseling. He will partner with staff members and volunteers to meet pastoral needs with a willingness to transition some roles and responsibilities to or from other staff members as time and gifts allow.

Qualifications
Experienced in managing the_noemailplexities of an established church with diverse ministries, preferably in a suburban setting.
A Master of Divinity degree or higher is preferred. Ordination strongly r_noemailmended.
Candidate must fully agree with Grace Bible Church's statement of faith.
