The pastor will demonstrate in word and deed, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He will be open to ideas of others, be gregarious, compassionate, approachable, energetic and learned. The pastor needs to be a person of faith, integrity, dedication and good judgement. The lifestyle of the pastor should be a demonstration of the Christian gospel, within the home, the church and the world. The pastor needs to demonstrate the ability as a preacher, pastoral care giver and administrator. It is important that the pastor have strong relational skills. At minimum, a graduate of an accredited college; preferred, a graduate of a school of theology accredited by the American Assoc. of Theological Schools. The ministry requires flexibility in meeting the needs of a diverse church members and the larger community.
