Job Description:


The Role:
The Worship Pastor will create an atmosphere of Spirit-led worship that engages both heart and head, drawing the church into the presence of God. The Worship Pastor will lead and shepherd worship teams, oversee all aspects of planning and execution of the worship ministry, and serve in collaboration with the Senior Pastor and church leadership.

Responsibilities:
Honors God by exalting Christ through Gospel saturated songs
Creates and executes a highly engaging worship experience (Spirit & Truth)
Demonstrates a strong ability to develop our current worship ministry
Develops a leadership pipeline which involves active recruitment, training, and mentoring of new and experienced vocalists/musicians
Displays versatility by utilizing fresh styles and elements to best engage young families of a post-modern unchurched generation as well as mature Christians in the faith
Leads and serves alongside the tech team so that worship is unfettered and Christ is exalted
Completes additional responsibilities as assigned by the elders based on gifts, talents, and needs

 

About CrossPointe Church:

CrossPointe Church was originally planted as Rocket City Community Church when founded in 1996. Senior Pastor/Elder John Dees was called in 2002 and we subsequently became known as CrossPointe Church. Our average church attendance steadily grew from approximately fifty people to the current average of more than nine hundred adults, teenagers, and children. This growth necessitated a move to the current facility on Hughes Road in 2014. We are a non-denominational church with many Gospel partnerships as we seek to advance God's Kingdom. Our vision is to develop devoted disciples of Jesus Christ who love God, love others, and serve the world.  

Qualifications:

Requirements:
Exhibits a vibrant relationship with Jesus & engages in spiritual disciplines
Demonstrates theological soundness and is in agreement with our core beliefs
Embraces the vision of CrossPointe Church
Exhibits skill as a vocalist and musician
Displays charisma and is passionate about Christ, family, ministry, and people
3-5 years of worship ministry experience (preferred but not required)
Earned a bachelor's degree (preferred but not required)
Sense of humor
Technologically astute (software, equipment, and video production)
Team player
Aware of current trends in worship ministry
A humble spirit of teachability
