Position: Admin Assistant- Finance (and Special Event Assistant)
Location: La Jolla, California
Type: Part time.
Schedule: 3 days per week, 5-6 hours per day. (Additional days and hours may be required for special events)

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, oversee the finance procedures by verifying proper signatures and protocols of all submitted documents
Follow up on billing disputes and inquiries
Obtain estimates and comparison quotes upon request
Filing, data entry, scanning, digital filing, and phone calls required
Report creation as needed. Knowledge of Excel required.
Respond to donor inquiries and distribute annual donation receipts
Oversee our finance flows (processes) and communications to congregants and our outside accountant
Cross-train for coverage as part of our office team- able to cover phones, open and close the campus, greet visitors, etc. (Secondary to the office manager who primarily handles these tasks)
Assist the Leadership in coordinating our annual special events, especially Snow Day in December (additional hours for this event may be necessary).
Overseeing proper filing and archiving procedures.
Frequent communications to our Operations Manager, CFO, and our Accountant.

Excels at communication and interpersonal skills
Has a friendly demeanor but is also comfortable greeting various guests who sometimes include homeless seeking aid, solicitors, and other potentially uncomfortable scenarios.
Is able to handle conflict in a healthy, diplomatic, yet confident manner.
Enjoys collaborative ministry and thrives in a team setting, but is also able to work alone with trustworthy and reliable output.
Experience with Google Drive products, Gmail, Office suite products, and is able to quickly learn new software.
Experience with Connecteam and ChurchSuite a plus, but not required.
Is reliable and comfortable working alone or in a large team setting.
Possesses administration and organization skills/experience.
Is able to be trustworthy and confidential regarding various donations, private conversations, and other confidential information.
Finance and/or bookkeeping background is preferred but not required.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled admin to serve on our finance team. This is a part time position, with opportunities to grow hours down the road with additional responsibilities and trainings. The position is entry-level in that we will train the right person if needed. Experience in bookkeeping or office settings are preferred but an attention to detail and a passion for accuracy is essential to the success of this role.

Direct Reports to Operations Manager
Schedule- 3 weekdays, 5-6 hours per day.

BENEFITS & SALARY: Alfac discounts, three free annual therapy sessions with MFT offered upon request. Two weeks vacation, some holidays off. 5 annual paid sick days. Salary is $18.50-22.50 DOE.

Entry Level Position but experience is preferred. Will train the right candidate.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
