-Coordinate GUMC communications:
-Prepare and distribute all weekly and special service bulletins, the Grace Notes, and other bulletin inserts including donation envelopes
-Handle routine correspondence
-Direct necessary information to the website coordinator for posting
-Maintain databases for mailing and emails
-Forward pertinent information to appropriate staff members and committees
-Send weekly emails to congregation with reminders for the weekend
-Send emails to congregation for prayer requests, funerals notices, etc.
-Prepare member quarterly giving statements
-Supervises volunteer receptionists and other volunteer office worker
-Oversee cleaning and janitorial company crew
-Performs other duties as assigned.
-Excellent writing and verbal communications
-Strong computer knowledge
-Proficiency in office software, including, but not limited to, ACS (Automated Church Systems Software), Microsoft Word, Excel & Publisher; Google Docs, Sheets, etc.; WordPerfect; Mailchimp, Signup Genius; Survey Monkey; One Call Now
-Operate general office equipment such as phone system, computer, copy machine, RISO, folding machine, multi-line phone system
-Must be organized, trustworthy, dependable
