Job Description:
The First Reformed Church of Platte, South Dakota is searching for a full time Associate Family Pastor who will bring creative and strategic energy to our ministry and mission. The candidate will be a member of our Ministry Staff team led by Senior Pastor Mike De Jager and will have opportunities to share in a variety of ministry areas including discipleship to young families and youth, equipping leaders, and assisting with preaching and pastoral care. The candidate will be passionate about our vision- "Jesus is Lord therefore we will make disciples through worship, prayer, God's word, outreach, and relationships."
The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep faith, a teachable spirit, strong relational skills, self-starting motivation, effective communication and leadership skills. The candidate will work well in team settings and connecting with young families and youth while implementing our vision.
The First Reformed Church is a thriving congregation of around 190 attenders. The church is multi-generational with a ministry to children, active Jr. and Sr. High ministries, and involvement with young and elderly alike.
