POSITION SUMMARY: Associate Pastor, Worship. Cross Road is seeking a passionate Christ-follower skilled in leading congregational worship in a thriving church environment. This person will be responsible for championing a church-wide culture of worship that honors God, inspires the church family, and develops a thriving worship team. The Worship Pastor will lead themselves with spiritual discipline, lead the worship team with excellence, and lead the church in engaging, transformative worship experiences. They will embody our vision of Reach, Teach, Live, and Love – Like Jesus.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve directly as pastor to the Vocal team, Praise band, Technology team and all others associated with worship experiences at Cross Road. Oversee the recruitment and development of vocalists, musicians, sound and lighting personnel as well as technicians for livestreaming. Plan worship experiences including scheduling, song selection, rehearsals and the execution of the actual worship experience. Foster a team culture of excellence, unity, and servant-hearted leadership. Encourage and mentor emerging worship leaders within the church. Our Worship Pastor is the primary on-stage worship leader for worship gatherings and collaborates with the entire staff to insure high quaility worship experiences in all ministry areas.
Working with the Senior Pastor, oversee all details of the worship including Communion services, Prayer services, Baptisms, and Funerals. Disciple support staff, key leaders, and volunteers in the Worship ministry.
