Job Description:
The Associate Pastor at Crossroads Christian Church will essentially be the Lead Pastor's key support in all aspects of church leadership and ministry. As such, the Associate Pastor must be competent in overseeing the church: visitation, providing spiritual guidance, teaching/preaching God's word, exercising management over staff, contributing to worship services, and taking appropriate measures in leading certain ministries (e.g. Small Group Initiative). All of these things must be done under the Lead Pastor, sharing in 'likemindedness' (Philippians 2:1-3)
About Crossroads Christian Church:
Crossoads began with 5 men and their wives, hosting about 25 people in the very beginning. Those who gathered, did so because they wanted to see the church grow in a generation that was stuck by denominational divides. And so in 1995 this group of Christians hosted their first church service, then in 1997 they were officially established as a Non-Denominational Church: Crossroads Christian Church. Since, then the church has been committed to reach, build, and impact people by serving God faithfully. Today, our church hosts three services and ministers to approximately 500 souls every weekend. Our vision moving forward is none other than the vision Jesus Christ had: "...I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."
Job Qualifications:
Of course, this person is expected to have the qualifications of pastors laid out in Scripture. Beyond that, it is in our constitution that all paid staff are expected to have (1) A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him, (2) A commitment to moral purity, and (3) A commitment to the mission and vision of Crossroads Christian Church.
Experience in Ministry is required
