KCC is a warm-spirited, Evangelical Covenant Church located in the heart of Kentˇ¦s east hill community. Historically Kent has been a stable, white middle-class suburb of Seattle, located about 25 minutes east of Sea-Tac Airport. The community has undergone significant demographic change, becoming the most ethnically diverse city in the state of Washington. Numerous refugee groups have been resettled in the area. The Kent School District has identified 138 original languages spoken by students. The constituency of Kent Covenant increasingly represents the changing face of the community. Four ethnic churches use Kent Covenantˇ¦s up-to-date facilities. A Nepali fellowship exists as a church within the church. In its 50 year history, Kent Covenant Church has had two Senior Pastors. Dr.Keith Carpenter has served as Senior Pastor since late 1987. The church is recognized for its strong outreach and community-service ministries, as well as its involvement in global missions.
