To serve the church by: being a visionary who is creative in leading people in authentic worship and who can communicate direction in a way that inspires those around him/her to join in the pursuit of the vision. The APWA will utilize the experience of Worship & Arts to support the creative efforts of the church to present the gospel to fulfill our mission of salvation by being changed by Jesus to change the world. The APWA, in conjunction with the Executive Pastor and Senior Pastor, is responsible for planning, direction, and daily management of the church¡¦s Worship & Arts ministries.
Primary Responsibilities: The Associate Pastor of Worship & Arts, in conjunction with the Executive and Senior Pastor, is responsible for the planning, direction, and daily management of the following aspects:
Lead and implement worship planning for Sunday Mornings on a weekly basis in a time sensitive, organized, and clearly communicated manner
Supervise, shepherd, coach, and care for all volunteers serving under the Worship & Arts ministry to ensure volunteers are equipped and prepared to serve and lead with excellence; which may include taking select volunteers to other services, conferences and meetings that will help equip them for the work of the ministry
Build, direct, coordinate and develop the instrumental, vocal, and technology component (audio, visual, live stream, but not limited to) of Worship & Arts through required rehearsals; this may also require mentoring, teaching, and adding/dismissing volunteers from the team
Post chord charts, MP3¡¦s and other necessary elements for the team in a timely manner on a weekly basis „h Stay current with pop culture as it relates to design and style of music in both the church and the general market
Communicate with other worship pastors and watch other church services to gain insight and develop ways to improve the effectiveness of the worship experience
Lead, develop, and mentor a creative team and resources for worship experiences of both Children and Youth ministries
Other tasks as needed and directed by the Executive and Senior Pastor
