Position Overview
Becker Baptist Church is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and skilled Associate Pastor of Youth and Family Ministries to serve as a key member of our leadership team. The role will involve overseeing and leading the youth ministry, mentoring youth, coordinating special events, and working closely with families to promote spiritual growth. The ideal candidate will have a heart for youth, strong leadership skills, and a desire to build relationships that foster a Christ-centered community.
Key Responsibilities
-- Youth Ministry Leadership: Organize and lead weekly youth gatherings and Bible study opportunities. Support and foster youth small groups to encourage spiritual growth.
-- Event Planning & Coordination: Plan and coordinate special events for youth and families, including retreats, mission trips, and outreach activities.
-- Children's Ministry Collaboration: Work closely with the children's ministry staff and team to ensure smooth transitions for youth as they move from birth to graduation, fostering a cohesive ministry.
-- Family Engagement: Provide biblical guidance and support to individuals, couples, and families, helping them grow spiritually in their relationship with Christ.
-- Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to serve in youth ministry. Foster a team-oriented environment for ministry leaders and volunteers.
-- Community Outreach: Build relationships within the local community and develop outreach programs that connect youth and families to the church.
-- Administrative & Communication: Oversee the administrative aspects of the youth ministry, including scheduling, budgeting, and communication with church leadership, parents, and volunteers.
-- Personal Development: Commit to ongoing theological study, sermon preparation, and other opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.

Job Qualifications:

-- Master's degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (or actively pursuing one).
-- At least 4 years of experience in pastoral ministry, particularly in youth and family ministry.
Minimum Qualifications
-- Follower of Christ, in alignment with the biblical qualifications for leadership (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9).
-- Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent ministry experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-- Ability to lead, train, and empower volunteers and students in their spiritual growth.
