Personal Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from 4-year college/university (Bible, Christian Ministry major preferred).
Preferably three-years youth ministry experience in a thriving youth ministry
Demonstrated effectiveness in recruiting and developing a team of leaders
Demonstrated effectiveness in relationally shepherding a group of students
Agreement with Kent Covenant Church's mission, values, strategy, and statement of faith
Responsibilities
Teach, disciple, mentor, counsel and relate to students
Recruit, equip, and encourage volunteers
Partner with parents of the students
Relationships
Attend weekly staff team meetings
Provide a occasional reports to staff supervisor with goals, a_noemailplishments, prayers and
praises
Meet monthly, with the Student Ministry Team and share goals, a_noemailplishments, prayers,
and praises.
Network with other youth ministers in the_noemailmunity, the Pacific Northwest Conference and
the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Assist in other ministry needs as deemed necessary by the pastoral staff and Leadership
Team

Teachable with growing faith, abilities, grasp of the Bible, Theology, and Apologetics
Possesses qualities catalytic to student ministry; an attractor, has a sense of humor,

Effectively_noemailmunicates God's Word to students that they would know why and what they
believe
A desire to encourage and support the parents of students
Thrives within a team environment; with students, volunteers, parents, pastoral staff,
Leadership Team, and church staff

Possesses and effectively uses social media tools for ministering to students, i.e. Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram, etc.
