ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Student Ministry seeks to lead students to b_noemaile fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. This is a campus-specific role that will primarily minister to female students and volunteers, while assisting the ministries of Bayou City Fellowship. This is a_noemailplished by making disciples of Jesus Christ, while carrying out the mission and vision of the Student Ministry of Bayou City Fellowship's Cypress Campus and the church as a whole. This pastor will report to and work collaboratively with the Campus Student Pastor.


MINISTRY FUNCTIONS

Oversee girl's ministry by leading girls' discipleship groups and building Christ-centered mentoring relationships with young women.
Train and empower female volunteers to lead in the area of girls' ministry, including mentoring, discipleship groups, and events.
Intentionally engage in relational ministry activities with students each week.
Assist in_noemailanizing, planning, and facilitating all aspects of the Student Ministry including, but not limited to Bible studies, discipleship groups, weekly programming, events, retreats, and mission trips.
Assist in developing a_noemailprehensive discipleship plan for 6-12th grade students and college-age students ensuring that curriculum and events incorporate elements of Biblical discipleship, worship,_noemailmunity, and mission.
Assist in the development and execution of the teaching calendar for Refuge, Sunday mornings, and weekly Bible studies.
Assist in the recruitment of Student Ministry volunteers.
Assist in the training and resourcing of Student Ministry volunteers to serve effectively.
Be in regular attendance Sunday mornings for worship, teaching, and student programming.
Aid in the_noemailmunication with parents and church members concerning curriculum content, ministry needs, and personal and family discipleship through email, meetings, calls, one-on-one conversations, etc.
Serve and be a resource for parents, families, schools, and other_noemailanizations for the spiritual formation, health, and well-being of adolescents throughout the Cypress and Houston area.
Assist in the recruitment and training of summer interns.
ADMINISTRATIVE AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in serving as Student Ministry staff liaison to the greater Bayou City Fellowship Cypress staff.
B_noemaile proficient in the use of Trello, Bayou City Dashboard, the Bayou City App, Planning Center Online, Slack, Google Suite, PEX, and more.
Manage a_noemailmunication plan in conjunction with Campus Student Pastor for u_noemailing student ministry gatherings and information and coordinate_noemailmunication with the church body weekly through the worship guide, the Bayou City App, and eNewsletter.
Create and manage Planning Center Online registrations for u_noemailing events and gatherings.
Assist in the oversight and maintenance of the Student Ministry budget.
OTHER DUTIES
Ensure_noemailpliance with Bayou City Child Protection Policy in conjunction with the Campus Student Pastor and Campus Lead Pastor, by maintaining and managing the_noemailanizational system tracking volunteers' progress through a vetting and on-boarding process, which is in_noemailpliance with Bayou City Fellowship requirements.
Professional Organization – Network with other similar church staff in an _noemailanized setting to gain and share resources and information.
Staff Meetings – Attend regular and special staff meetings.
Other – Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor or needed to support the larger goals of the Student Ministry and Bayou City Fellowship.
QUALIFICATIONS


Displays a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Demonstrates proficiency through training and/or experience in the essentials of pastoral work: knowledge of the Bible, a reasonable understanding of God and His ways, understanding basic doctrines for effective shepherding, understanding the gospel and its impact of life, ability to think theologically and Biblically, some knowledge of the dynamics of spiritual formation and life transformation, ability to serve/minister/teach God's Word in student life situations with a goal of transformation, understanding of the discipling process, and an ability to disciple.
Emotional maturity.
Self-Motivated.
Demonstrates a distinct calling to student ministry and Bayou City Fellowship.
Relationally gifted and experienced working in ministry with students.
Strong_noemailanizational skills.
Strong verbal and written_noemailmunication skills.
Team oriented.
Ability to problem solve in stressful circumstances.
UNDERSTOOD WORKING CONDITIONS


A flexible working schedule is required for the position, which includes nights, weekends, and other times outside regular office hours.
Travel for retreats, mission trips, camps, and conferences will be required.
This job will be physically, spiritually, and emotionally demanding at times.
