Children & Family Ministries Director
Position reports to: Senior Pastor
Incumbent: None
Salary range: $32,000 – $42,000
Employment Status Salary, full-time; exempt (45-50 hours/week)
Position Overview
The Children and Family Ministries Director loves, equips and engages with children and their families to b_noemaile disciples who make disciples.
Responsibilities of Position
1) Children and Families (40%)
a) Coordinates CBC children's ministries.
b) Coordinates with the Associate Pastor and Director of Assimilation and Discipleship in connecting families to Jesus and CBC.
c) Equips parents to equip their kids in their walk with Jesus.
2) Curriculum and Training (40%)
a) Chooses effective curricula for CBC children's ministries.
b) Trains children's ministry volunteers and staff.
c) Continually pursues leadership training and ministry and curriculum trends.
d) Develops, oversees, and evaluates staffing in all areas of children's ministry (builds teams, shoulder-taps)
3) Administration (20%)
a) Sets and evaluates ministry goals in line with CBC's vision.
b) Prioritizes programs, manages the use of facilities, and plans the budget.
c) Serves as an advisor to the Christian Education Board.
d) Attends weekly staff meetings.
e) Oversees the Children's Ministry Serve Coordinator.
Qualifications

f) Exudes energy and passion for children and families, and their personal and family faith journey.
2) Education
a) Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or equivalent degree in education, counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
b) Some training in child development preferred.
3) Experience
a) Previous experience in children's and/or family ministry.
b) Previous experience as an administrator sufficient to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
c) Counseling experience a plus.
4) Skills
a) Proven effective_noemailmunicator, both as listener and speaker.
b) The ability to strategize when presented with opportunities and challenges, from a Biblical perspective.
c) Ability to implement current technology for Cornerstone Baptist Church's ministries.
d) Able to build teams for ministry.
e) Knowledge of current Microsoft Office suite (2010/2013), presentation media (i.e. Pro Presenter, Media Shout, etc.), Adobe Reader/Acrobat, etc.
f) Ability to engage others naturally in a way that draws them to children and family ministry.
