THE SCOPE OF THE POSITION INCLUDES:.
Create pragmatic ministry strategies and curriculum that equips parents and children to live Christ centered missional lives in the home.
Oversee theological, philosophical and sociological ministry development for our Children's Ministry (Birth – Elementary)
Create if possible or select curriculum.
Oversee:
o All elements of Sunday Kids Church
o Mid-week programs
o Special Training Events for Families
o Camps/Events

POSITION PROFILE: .
We are looking for someone who can shepherd and redesign Family Ministry at LJCF. This position will oversee the span of ministry from Nursery to 5th grade, as well as expand our ministry to parents. You will also oversee Summer Day Camps (VBS), midweek groups and events such as Awana, and other midweek programs you design.
This is a supervisor position that oversees the program leads in the following areas:
Children's Pastor (Birth-3rd Grade) – 40 hours per week
o This position supervises our childcare staff
Develop 45 Program (4-5th Grade) – Currently a volunteer-based ministry
Selected Candidate will be able to:.
Grow ministry strategies that focus on the unique needs of parents as their children move through each stage of development.
Shepherd and develop our Family Ministry team.
Collaborate with our team to refine existing strategies and take them to the next level.
Provide a consistent pastoral presence for the families of our church.
Be an example and an advocate for the values and strategies of our Family Ministry
Assist with the pastoral needs of the entire congregation (care, equipping, leadership, preaching)
Bring fresh thinking to the areas of children, students, and family.
PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS: .
Recruiting, training, and retaining volunteer leaders
Teaching and public speaking
Equipping parents
Supporting parents, teens, and/or children in crisis situations
Developmental stages of infants, children, and teens
Strategic planning
Special needs, blended families, and foster/adoption inclusiveness
Creating safe and fun environments for children and students
Budget management, administration, database management

POSITION STRUCTURE:. Full Time – Pastoral Exempt.
Direct Reports to Lead Pastor. Indirect Reports to Operations Manager (for liabilities and budgeting).
BENEFITS & SALARY:.
Alfac, health stipends, and annual bonuses available. 4 weeks vacation, 5 sick days, flexible schedule options. Salary will be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. 60-65k D.O.E.
