The Children's Pastor is a full-time salaried position at Sunnyslope Christian Center tasked with planning, preparing for, leading multiple weekly Children's ministry programs, and proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Primary Strengths Desired:
We are looking for a Pastor outlined in 1 Tim. 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:2-4 who is_noemailmitted to moral integrity, purity, spiritual intensity, and accountability to leadership.
Has evidence of a life that is submitted to the Holy Spirt.
Strong_noemailanizational and leadership skills.
Ability to build and lead volunteer teams.
Is_noemailmitment to excellence and professionalism in their approach to ministry.
Has a servant-hearted teachable spirit, with the ability to adapt quickly in a continuously growing ministry.
Team Player – Enjoys collaborating with others and has a get it done, how can I help attitude.
Passionately_noemailmitted to Sunnyslope Christian Center vision and philosophy of ministry.
General Duties:
Oversee all programming and ministry for children ages pre-school to 6th grade.
Oversee Coordinator for ages Nursery – 3.
Lead Sunday morning Children's Ministries.
Oversee family night Children's Ministries (Girl's Ministry and Royal Ranger).
Provide care for children and families within the church including hospital visits.
Plan and oversee special events such as Musical programs, VBS, Living Lights & Christmas Program.
Plan for and oversee Children's Ministry at seasonal events such as Easter and 4th of July Outreach.
Have a passion and vision to reach new children and families.
Special Duties:
Submit monthly reports for your department to the deacon board. Attend all staff and church meetings.
Attend Pastoral staff mentoring.
Attend Tuesday prayer session at either 5am, 12pm or 5pm your choice.
Attend Saturday night prayer at least twice a month.
Be willing to help with any other events or duties that may arise.
Assist with Phone & Office coverage.
Educational Requirements:
Complete requirements for certified ministers with the Assembly of God within 12 months.
Has training in the area of Children’s Ministry with a minimum of a 1-2 years of experience.
Term of Office:
Term of office shall be determined by the Pastor and Board of Deacons.
Termination shall be the prerogative of the Pastor and Board of Deacons.
Lines of Accountability:
Reports to: Senior Pastor and Executive Administrative Pastor
Compensation:
B.O.E.
Includes a (3) Bedroom home.

About Sunnyslope Christian Center:
Sunnyslope Christian Center is a Spirit-Led, Holy Spirit driven Assembly of God church with a multi-generational and multi-ethnic congregation of 400-450. We believe in a supernatural move of God and desire a Pastor who is ready to lead our children into the presence of God! We are running 40-50 children weekly and are poised for amazing growth. We have a great vision for our Children's Ministry and have just completed a 500k renovation of our facility. It includes a new 8x12 foot led screen, all new sound video and lighting ready for use.
