Work directly with the senior pastor and other administrative staff in developing, implementing, and maintaining Christ-centered programs for children birth-6th Grade. This includes but is not limited to such programs as: VBS, Church Camp (Camp Life), Wednesday Children's Ministry Classes, Small Groups and a variety of family-centered experiences.
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise teams of volunteers who provide support for programming needs.
Provide appropriate curriculum and guidance for educational opportunities relating to children and their parents. Guidance includes the recruitment, training and supervision of teachers, facilitating classroom needs and evaluating effectiveness of programs.
Deliver messages to kids of all ages in a manner that attracts and maintains their attentions.
Create environments, activities and programming for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth.
Provide care for children and families within the church including hospital visits and follow-up.
Create and maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families.
Lead meetings with volunteers
Oversee systems for background checks, children's check-in, safety, and security for the Children's Department
Drive the Children's Ministry to match the core values of Life Church
Required to be strategically visible during the weekend services, attend weekly staff meetings, agreed upon leadership retreats, conferences, and seminars
Collaborate with Student Pastor to insure seamless flow of strategy between the ministries
Model Biblical Priorities
Uphold Biblical priorities and core values of Life Church
Commit to a regular quiet-time with God
Set appropriate boundaries with time and relationships to protect character and integrity
Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church
Follow budget guidelines set forth by the Business Committee
