Job Description:
The Director of Family Ministry provides strategic leadership and spiritual oversight for all ministries from birth through high school. This position is responsible for cultivating Christian centered discipleship in children, youth and parents while building a team of staff and volunteers to carry out the mission of the church.
This is a key leadership role that works collaboratively with the pastoral staff and reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
RRESPONSIBILITES;
Develop and implement a cohesive discipleship pathway from birth through high school, rooted in Wesleyan theology.
Supervise children's and youth ministry staff and volunteers.
Partners with parents and caregivers to support faith formation at home.
Provide oversight to weekly programming including Sunday School, youth group, special events and retreats.
Ensure the spiritual, emotional and physical safety of all children and students.
Lead recruitment, training and development of volunteers across age groups.
Collaborate with worship, missions and adult discipleship teams to foster intergenerational engagement.
Oversee ministry budgets, planning and long-term vision for family ministry.
Create and lead support groups for parents.
Support local schools' administration.
Small group discipleship.
Comfortable and accomplished public speaker focused on children, youth and their families.

Job Qualifications:
Alignment with the Englewood Methodist Church doctrinal and social positions.
Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, Christian education or related field or a minimum 5 years of experience in family, youth, or children's ministry; large church setting preferred.
Strong leadership, team building and public communication skills.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate discipleship models.
Background check and child protection training required
