Job Description:
Position Summary: Covenant Baptist Church is looking for a talented individual with a strong commitment to Christ, to technical excellence, and a heart for working with volunteers. As an integral member of our ministerial team, you will help change lives through the skillful use of audio/video/lighting and other technology. You will demonstrate an ability to oversee a media ministry with initiative and innovation, accomplish tasks efficiently, meeting key deadlines; while recruiting, training, coordinating, and ministering to volunteers with technical skills and gifts. The Director of Media and Technology will report directly to the Minister of Music, while working closely with the Pastor, and other staff members.
The Director of Media and Technology will be responsible for four main areas:
Worship Production
Digital Asset Management and Communications
AV and IT Support
Equipment Management
Qualifications: Education & Experience
A 2-year degree in a related field is required. A 4-year degree is preferred. Experience in a production role at a medium to large church is preferred.
Must have experience in the following areas:
Technology in a modern worship production environment
Recruiting, building, developing, and training teams
Audio systems and large-format digital consoles
Live and streaming video environments; projectors, displays and video transmission
Planning Center & ProPresenter Online software
Lighting in the context of worship services (Knowledge of theatrical, intelligent, LED and lighting for video preferred)
Audio/video/lighting signal flows and a strong ability to troubleshoot in all of these environments
The ideal candidate is highly tech-savvy, able to learn and master new technology quickly and thoroughly.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities can occur. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
