Position Summary: Covenant Baptist Church is looking for a talented individual with a strong_noemailmitment to Christ, to technical excellence, and a heart for working with volunteers. As an integral member of our ministerial team, you will help change lives through the skillful use of audio/video/lighting and other technology. You will demonstrate an ability to oversee a media ministry with initiative and innovation, a_noemailplish tasks efficiently, meeting key deadlines; while recruiting, training, coordinating, and ministering to volunteers with technical skills and gifts. The Director of Media and Technology will report directly to the Minister of Music, while working closely with the Pastor, and other staff members.

The Director of Media and Technology will be responsible for four main areas:
Worship Production
Digital Asset Management and Communications
AV and IT Support
Equipment Management

Qualifications: Education & Experience
A 2-year degree in a related field is required. A 4-year degree is preferred. Experience in a production role at a medium to large church is preferred.

Must have experience in the following areas:
Technology in a modern worship production environment
Recruiting, building, developing, and training teams
Audio systems and large-format digital consoles
Live and streaming video environments; projectors, displays and video transmission
Planning Center & ProPresenter Online software
Lighting in the context of worship services (Knowledge of theatrical, intelligent, LED and lighting for video preferred)
Audio/video/lighting signal flows and a strong ability to troubleshoot in all of these environments

The ideal candidate is highly tech-savvy, able to learn and master new technology quickly and thoroughly.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities can occur. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

About Covenant Baptist Church:

Covenant Baptist is located on a beautiful spot right off busy and growing Interstate 85 at Exit 21. Covenant began in the spring of 1997 as a small group of people began meeting in homes seeking God's will about starting a new church. After much prayer, they felt led by the Lord to step out by faith and start Covenant Baptist Church. As Covenant grew, the church quickly moved from homes to a place on the campus of Anderson University, to a store building. In 1999 the church broke ground on a new facility and added square footage to that space in 2002. In 2007 the church began meeting at its present location at 4521 Liberty Highway. With this move the Lord blessed Covenant with thirty acres of land and 54,000 square feet of building space. In 2022 the church completed a renovation of its worship space, which included a major upgrade to its AVL system. Covenant is situated in a part of town that is experiencing a great amount of growth and is poised for what God might do in the future  

Qualifications:
