Director of Ministries
Job Description:
Children, Youth, Young Adults, Prayer, Pastoral Care, Family, Worship, Small Groups, Discipleship, Missions & Outreach, etc.
The director post will be assigned to oversee a_noemailbination of different ministries according to his/ her gifting, qualification and experience, and/ or needs of the church. Directly supervised by the Senior Pastor and responsible to the Elder Board, this person shall share in the load of pastoral care, and work closely and wisely shepherd the church which is_noemailprised of people of diverse backgrounds, convictions and maturity levels. He or she shall lead by example and cultivate a positive spirit throughout the ECC family, and represent Christ and His church well in the_noemailmunity. This role has the following responsibilities and requirements:
Responsibilities
Promote the church's vision, train and mobilize the congregation to participate and engage in the respective ministries.
Collaborate with the respective deacons and lead and supervise both in-house and volunteer staff in formulating and executing weekly and special seasonal ministry activities and events.
Build_noemailmunity and foster greater unity in church life by engaging and integrating the congregation through service in other ministries within and outside of ECC.
Assist the Senior/ Associate Pastor(s) in developing, mentoring and training potential leaders.
Formulate spiritual development opportunities and provide spiritual guidance in the church.
Nurture and edify the congregation.
Qualifications:
Affirm without qualification ECC's doctrinal statement ("Our Beliefs") and the Position Statement adopted March, 2012 that is entitled "Women in Ministry."
Seminary/ Bible college degree, Master of Divinity an advantage.
Possess at least 10 years' discipleship experience in a church or Christian organization.
Demonstrate evidence of effective leadership in family, church and community.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent spoken and written English, Chinese (Cantonese) an advantage.
Possess strong computer skills and be well-versed with MS Office applications.
Full-time, 5-day work week, including Sundays.
Term
Two-year renewable contract
