POSITION PURPOSE

The Kids and Family Pastor exists to empower the next generation from birth through fifth grade to know and follow Jesus.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A minimum of bachelor's degree, but Seminary degree preferred

A minimum of 5 years of full-time experience. Preference will be given to those with experience in a large (750+) churches

Experience in successfully building and leading teams

Must be a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and consistent disciple making leader

Must be a team player that works within existing structure

Skilled in goal setting and leadership

Skilled in understanding, relating, and shepherding people

Skilled in personal investment in others toward spiritual growth and spiritual fruitfulness while equipping parents to become the lead faith trainer in their home

Skilled in ability to lead teams toward consistency and excellence

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Develop teams that move kids and families to reach their full redemptive potential .

Recruit, train and shepherd volunteers to serve in the Kids Ministry in order to foster a team atmosphere of shared passion for children and families.

Oversee the vetting of all volunteers using Ministry Safe.

Oversee the performance, evaluating and training of all personnel working in the Kids Ministry.

Oversee ministry budget and calendar related to Kids Ministry.

Develop, implement and oversee family missional experiences

Oversee the selection of all Kids Ministry resources to communicate God's eternal truths to kids and families.

Develop and oversee programming for kid's area as it relates to the church's strategic spiritual pathway (Explore, Connect, Grow and Multiply).

Provide oversight of all guest and member follow up related to Kids Ministry.

Oversee the training and equipping of parents to be the lead faith trainers in their homes.

Oversee the development and execution of all goals for the Kids Ministry.

Oversee new initiatives as assigned
