Essential Kids Pastor Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:
Provide vision, strategy, and development for a ministry that reaches hundreds of kids every week,
Oversee all programming and ministry for the Kids Ministry,
Provide leadership and oversight to the Kids Ministry staff,
Provide leadership in the development of yearly ministry plans,
Hire, train and invest into a team of directors, and volunteers who help carry out essential functions of ministry,
Champion the process for recruiting, training, and implementation of volunteers in Kids Ministry,
Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families,
Provide oversight of Kids ministry budget,
Ensure that all curriculum is being taught according to Faith Bible Church doctrine,
Develop and maintain safe, clean, and fun aesthetic environments for the ministry.
Essential Team Member Responsibilities:
Attend regular staff meetings for discussion, evaluation and sharing of vision and needs of the ministry,
Meet consistently with the Pastor of Ministries to discuss ministry strategy and effectiveness,
Be committed to doing ministry as a team,
Be an active participant in church-wide activities.
Spiritual: Must have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a passion for ministry. Must hold to the Beliefs, Mission Statement, and Core Values of Faith Bible Church. Our staff are expected to set a Godly example for church members and the community by way of their personal conduct and lifestyle.
Experience and Education: A college degree in a related field and a minimum of four years of experience in a kids' ministry of 200+.
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Excellent leadership skills. Must be a learner, self-starter, confident and flexible. Must be able to work well with technology and media.
Ability: Someone that has a strong ability to cast vision and lead a team of staff and volunteers well. Must have a love for children and a passion for seeing them grow in their faith. Be knowledgeable of new ideas in ministry and ability to lead people through seasons of change. Able to identify problems and quickly find good solutions.
