Job Description:
The gsKidz Pastor plays a major role in the faith development of children and of
volunteers, both as a leader, and as an example; gracespring seeks a professional leader who
has a solid understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ, a depth of biblical knowledge and a
strong desire to grow up kids, and adult leaders, to follow Jesus. We seek a person who
generates new ideas and whose team is willing to think ‘outside the box' in ways that will help
a_noemailplish our mission of ‘changed lives . . . changing lives'. This leadership role will be
responsible to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate a team of paid/volunteer staff towards the
execution of an exceptional, Jesus-focused birth-5th grade ministry that provides a_noemailpelling
environment where...
-kids have a safe, we_noemailing and inspiring environment to BELONG.
-kids GROW in their relationship with Jesus through discipleship strategies that encourage
Biblical training coupled with ministry opportunities.
-kids are trained and equipped to REACH out to those who do not know Jesus or are
un-churched.
Responsibilities:
Develop strong working relationships with the pastoral leadership team; executing gracespring's
vision.
Oversee operational and budgetary processes for gsKidz Ministry, working closely with the Early
Childhood and Elementary Coordinators.
Recruit and inspire individuals to serve as volunteer ministers for weekend and mid-week
programs in early childhood, elementary and preteen ministries, as well as childcare for Bible
studies, special events and other times as needed.
Recruit and lead staff/volunteers to exhibit exceptional joyful service. Provide orientation and
work with early childhood and elementary coordinators to facilitate on-going training for recruited
team. Develop an appreciation/retention program.
Plan,_noemailanize and lead team recruited to coordinate gsKidz events (Easter and Christmas
outreach, etc.)
Meet regularly with the gsKidz and gsYouth ministry teams for discussion, evaluation, and
collaboration.
Establish strong relationships with parents through clear_noemailmunication and helpful resources.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of proven Children's leadership experience.
Bachelor's Degree Required. Preferred in related field of study.
Proven gift of teaching God's Word in a relevant way.
Demonstration of leading missions initiatives.
A reputation for recruiting and training up volunteer leaders.
A relational leader with a track record of encouragement both within the ministry and thePreferred to have good_noemailanizational skills, or the clear ability to delegate well.
Gracespring Staff Qualifications:
Flexible, can do, "yes" attitude. Thinks in terms of solutions.
Proven ability to submit to others out of reverence for Christ. (Ephesians 5:21)
Proven ability to Biblically handle conflict following principles in Matthew 18.
Ministry minded,_noemailanized and self-motivated.
An active member of gracespring and or willing to b_noemaile an active member upon being
hired.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellence.
Drive for excellence and continual improvement in ministry initiatives.
Willing to learn online database (Fellowship One), scheduling system (Planning Center) and
task management system (Asana).
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and direct volunteers.
