Overview:
After 23 years of faithful service in this church, our Senior Minister has passed away. We find ourselves with an Interim Minister filling the role, as we search for a Lead Minister to join us in the next chapter. Our staff includes a Worship Minister, Youth Minister, and Children's Minister. We seek an open-handed leader committed to long-term growth of the members and discipleship of the community.

Purpose:
o Serve as the primary provider of biblically sound and inspiring sermons.
o Provide leadership to the staff while coordinating tactical decisions and operational planning with the staff and the deacons.
o Serve with the elders and staff in teaching small groups, leading training classes, evangelizing the lost and nurturing the saved.
o Coordinate the overall vision and mission of the church with the elders.
o Serve with the pastoral care team to provide pastoral care as needed through hospital calls, in homes or nursing homes. Provide spiritual counseling and prayer as requested, referring for professional help as needed.

Responsibilities:
o Functions in such a manner as to fulfill the concept of the church as found in Ephesians 4:11-16. Any ministry that depends on the efforts of one person alone will be limited in how far it can grow and be effective. The need for every Christian to be involved in ministry is essential to the kingdom. Teach the teachers and lead the leaders, so that the members and leaders can grow and succeed.
o Upon employment, take the necessary steps to become a member in good standing of WCC.
o Be an example to WCC in speech, conduct, marriage, parenting, love of the lost and the saved, service, faith, and purity. Be an ambassador of Christ in the community of Williamsville and the surrounding area. (1 Timothy 3:1-7)
o Be available to the members of WCC to provide scriptural guidance, scriptural teaching, support the programs that edify the local body of believers, and promote love and unity at WCC.
o Be responsible to the elders of WCC and work with them as a team to manage the missions work of the church. Practice good communication with the leaders with the means available.
o Coordinate with the elders and individual teams at WCC to manage the missions work of the church.
o The work week of this salaried position will be flexible; based on the spiritual and practical needs of WCC as outlined in the responsibilities as well as directed by the elders
o Establish a weekly work schedule with office hours to provide a time of general availability for the public. Oversee staff for the coordination of schedules and planned duties for day-to-day operations.
o Perform weddings and funerals as able. Utilize personal and scriptural guidelines with discretion as to whether or not to agree to perform a wedding. Any concerns or issues encountered may be discussed with the elders.
o Use your spiritual gifts and abilities as a member of WCC to promote the kingdom in our area.
o Respect all church property.

Application Process:
Provide a cover letter introducing yourself; send it to WCC.exec.officer@gmail.com. Please include the following sections:
o Your personal testimony.
o Answer the question: Why am I in ministry?
o Please provide a brief outline of the Gospel as you understand it.
o Describe your experience in ministry, leadership and how you may be qualified to serve as a Minister at WCC.
o Provide a statement regarding the authority of scripture and contrast it with the importance of personal revelation, church tradition, and contemporary culture.
o Provide your resume detailing your education, experience, and complete employment history.
o Provide at least three references with contact information, at least one of which is a pastoral reference.
