Lead Pastor Job - West Side Church of God, Glendale, Arizona

The Lead Pastor oversees the Pastoral Leadership Team, in accordance with the Bylaws, leading the team to a_noemailplish the shared ministry goals. He/she acts as the chief administrator of the paid staff, following the structural flow chart for supervisory responsibilities. He/she works alongside the Board of Trustees, sharing the vision and efforts of the Pastoral Leadership Team and offering insight and biblical counsel to the Board.

DUTIES: The Lead Pastor responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
- Serve as a preacher, planning and conducting the worship services in partnership with the Worship Ministries Pastor
- Lead in the ordinances of_noemailmunion and baptism as needed.
- Give leadership to the Pastoral Leadership Team; lead and attend meetings, offer insight, direction, and counsel as needed
- Lead the church in the overall vision and mission and keep that fresh in the minds and lives of the congregation
- Create, cast vision for, and/or implement outreach to the_noemailmunity
- Work with the Board of Trustees and_noemailmittees as they perform their assigned responsibilities
- Act, in partnership with the Board of Trustees Chairperson, as moderator of church business meetings
- Conduct annual reviews in partnership with the Board Chairperson
- Be available and attend monthly Board meetings; keeping the Board informed of ministry happenings and offering insight and counsel as needed
- ‘Visit' and/or stay in touch with visitors, church attendees, the sick, and shut-ins as needed
- Offer insight, direction or counsel to the church as needed
- Plan area budgets and assist with annual budget
- Cooperate with association, state, and denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern; keep the church informed of denominational development; represent the church in related matters.
- Serve as chief administrator of the paid church staff; overseeing those who supervise support staff.
- Employment can be terminated at any time due to moral failure, doctrinal disagreement, or negligent performance.
