Minister of Evangelism and Missions

Position Summary
CrossLife Church's vision is to see people share the gospel of Jesus wherever they live, work, play and go so the sun will not set on the ministry of CrossLife Church. The Minister of Evangelism and Missions plays an integral role in a_noemailplishing this vision as they are responsible for overseeing and implementing the church's evangelism and missions ministries, training volunteers and actively participating in the evangelism ministry to influence others for Christ and bring them into the church. This includes leading the effort to maintain a_noemailprehensive missions program through exploring local, national, and global mission opportunities, keeping the church informed regarding potential and ongoing mission involvement/partnerships and serving as a liaison between the church and its missionaries.
Organizational Relationships
Responsible to the Senior Pastor and Senior Associate Pastor
Serve as part of the ministerial staff of CrossLife Church
Work with the other department heads to achieve an integrated approach to ministry
Supervise the evangelism and mission ministry volunteers
Primary Responsibilities
Develop strategy, leading and implementing the church's evangelism and missions ministries
Teach, train, develop leaders and_noemailanize ministry of evangelism and missions
Develop the annual budget for Evangelism and Missions.
Function in an interactive and cross-functional relationship with all other ministries and support areas of the church.
Evangelism Responsibilities:
o Identify and implement a church-wide evangelism training program
o Plan and implement ongoing church-wide evangelistic events that include methods to mobilize our members to invite the unchurched and unsaved.
o Assist the Senior Pastor and staff in planning evangelistic events
o Recruit, train and lead Decision Counselors who assist those who have made decisions in our services and other ministries
o Lead Foundations class for new adult believers and members
o Lead our baptism efforts through follow up on new believers for baptism and church membership
o Coordinate our church's efforts in area-wide partnerships for evangelistic events
o Coordinate with our staff in_noemailpleting weekly First Time Guest follow up
o Work with the Communications ministry to develop a strategy to keep the church informed about the impact of evangelistic efforts
o Supervise a reporting system that reflects accountability for outreach and evangelism efforts
Missions Responsibilities:
o Give direction and assistance to various groups within the church that are planning and participating in local, national and global mission trips and partnerships. This is primarily in an advisory capacity with regular opportunities to participate in these trips where appropriate.
o Act as a liaison with missionaries and_noemailanizations the church supports
o Assist staff to recruit and equip church members for local missions and short-term mission trips.
o Plan and implement annual Global Impact Conference at the church for missions giving.
o Research, locate, validate and follow up on mission projects, opportunities and needs within the local_noemailmunity as well as home and foreign mission fields
o Work with the Communications ministry to develop a strategy to keep the church informed about the impact of mission efforts

Qualifications:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate relationship with Him that is evident to all who know him.
Consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle that complies with the Biblical qualifications of an elder as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:7-9.
A man of prayer and a man of the Word, sensitive to what the Spirit is doing in his life as well as the life of the church.
A team player
Agreement with the doctrine, mission, vision, and values of CrossLife Church.
A track record of ministry team building and growing sustainable ministries
Gifted in evangelism and leadership with strong interpersonal relationship skills
Balanced views of evangelism and discipleship as well as knowledge and application
