Job Description:
Purpose: To develop and lead the worship music ministry for our church, in consultation with the Pastor and other team members, in a way that is consistent with our church mission.
Responsibilities: Select and plan music for Sunday services. Participate in the creative planning of the Sunday and special services with the Pastor. Recruit, equip, motivate, supervise, and shepherd vocalists and musicians. Develop musical teams and ensembles for services. Communicate faithfully with the pastor and staff while participating in the life and ministry of the church.
Competencies:
Ability in a wide range of styles of Christian music including traditional hymns, direction of choir anthems, and contemporary Christian music. Piano required, guitar or other instrument experience is a plus. Producing and directing special events, musicals, and programs.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 10-12 hours per week, which includes rehearsal time and one worship service on Sundays.
Compensation:
Varied, based on_noemailpetencies, credentials, and experience.

The church, which began in 1955, is located a quarter of a mile from the white sandy beaches of the Emerald Coast and the Gulf of Mexico.

Ability to shepherd volunteer singers and musicians in the Christian life.

Attested musical skills and competence.
Ability to organize, coordinate, and motivate musicians while working with technical video and sound team members.

Committed to the church's vision, leadership, and people.
Dependable, responsible, self-motivated, and creative. Bachelor's degree in music preferred, but not mandatory.
