Summary of the position:
The Vertical Kids Director is directly responsible for the momentum, culture, and
discipleship of our kids ministry. The VKD is an ultra team-builder, visionary leader, who believes in reaching the entire family for Jesus at Vertical Church.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
Strong leadership and organizational skills when it comes to volunteers
Ability to think and act independently with a high degree of creativity and organization.
Capability to handle multiple projects effectively.
Must be a strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Effective time management and problem-solving
Experience with successfully leading contemporary Children's Ministry of mostly volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Create a safe, high energy, cutting edge, contemporary learning environment for children between ages 6 weeks to 11yrs old
Train and Equip Teachers as leaders and service coordinators for v|Kids
Oversee identifying, sharing, and tailoring Gospel-centered curriculum.
Create tools and resources that involve parents being able to disciple children.
Create and Develop organizational structure within V|Kids.
Oversee Servant Leader scheduling for all roles within v|Kids.
Develop and implement follow-up process for v|Kids.
Create monitoring systems to detect problems as early as possible and initiate solutions.
Participate in annual budget preparation to ensure adequate funds for the operation of v|Kids Ministry
Help facilitate ministry growth to support the needs of the Church.
Be able to use or learn the functions of One Church Management Software.

To support the pastor, staff, ministry team, and congregation in achieving Vertical Church mission through the oversight of ministry communication, organizational planning, and staff support.
Experience and Knowledge Required:

Responsibilities:
Oversee general incoming and outgoing communication with the Church via email, phone, website, and social media tools.
Order/maintain a regular supply of office/administrative/church/ property supplies.
Provide administrative and special project assistance to the Pastor.
Work with the bookkeeper to provide information and reports to the pastor, staff, and ministry team.
Fully participate in Staff Planning Meetings and take minutes.
Maintain church-wide calendar of events.
