Job Title: Pastor – Young's and Shermans Dale Church Charge (2 congregations)
Location: Shermans Dale, PA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, Spirit-led Pastor to shepherd our two rural congregations. This individual will preach the Word of God, nurture spiritual growth across all ages, and cultivate a sense of belonging. This role requires a heart for small-town ministry, a commitment to pastoral care, and a willingness to engage deeply with the lives of our members. The ideal candidate will be especially passionate about investing in young people and drawing others into the life of the church.
Key Responsibilities:
Preach biblically grounded sermons weekly and for special services
Lead ordinances including communion and baptism
Provide pastoral care through home visits, hospital visits, and counseling
Develop and support children's and youth ministries
Encourage spiritual growth via Bible studies, prayer groups, and discipleship
Promote outreach and active involvement in the community to increase membership
Collaborate with church leaders to guide vision and stewardship
Oversee day-to-day church operations and staff
Foster a welcoming, Christ-centered atmosphere for visitors and members
Qualifications:
Degree in theology, biblical studies, or a related field; commensurate work experience considered
Deep understanding of Scripture and its application
Experience or strong interest in working with children and families
Rural/small-church experience preferred
Excellent communicator with individuals at all levels
Non-profit business experience preferred, but not required
Spiritual maturity and a heart for outreach

Compensation and Housing:
We have a nicely appointed parsonage within five miles of both churches to provide housing
suitable for a family.
Salary and benefits negotiable, depending on experience.
