Key Responsibilities:
Preaching & Teaching:
Preach expository, biblically sound sermons rooted in the New Testament while honoring the whole counsel of Scripture.
Teach weekly Bible studies or mid-week services, equipping believers for spiritual growth and maturity.
Administer ordinances including baptism and the Lord's Supper in accordance with Scripture.
Pastoral Care:
Provide spiritual care, counseling, and guidance to individuals and families within the church.
Visit the sick, homebound, and those in need of prayer or encouragement.
Offer pre-marital, marital, and grief counseling as needed.
Leadership & Oversight:
Lead the church with integrity, humility, and in submission to Christ.
Work with the church board/deacons to guide the mission, vision, and operations of the church.
Help identify and mentor future leaders within the church body.
Support and encourage existing ministries while helping to develop new opportunities for service and outreach.
Community Engagement:
Represent Christ and the church with integrity in the local community.
Participate in community events and foster a welcoming, Christ-centered presence.
Be available for weddings, funerals, and other pastoral duties in service to members and the broader community.
Personal Spiritual Growth:
Maintain a strong personal walk with the Lord through daily prayer, Bible study, and accountability.
Seek to lead by example in godliness, humility, and a servant's heart.

Qualifications:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a calling to pastoral ministry.
Strong knowledge of the Bible, especially the New Testament, with a commitment to teaching sound doctrine.
Agreement with traditional biblical values concerning family, morality, and church leadership.
Preferably some formal theological education (Bible college or seminary training), though a strong biblical foundation and pastoral gifting will be highly considered.
Prior pastoral or ministry experience is beneficial but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A heart for rural ministry and a willingness to live in and engage with a small-town/country community.
