Job Description:
OVERVIEW:
We're looking for a pastor who has a missional mindset and a shepherd's heart. He is responsible to oversee, aid and guide all adult ministries and life groups to carry out our vision of disciples making disciples.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help create and foster a discipling culture.
Oversee and maintain our Life groups keeping them aligned with the overall vision of the church.
Develop and maintain a system of ongoing support and training for life group leaders.
Create a strategy for involving more of the congregation in life groups.
Align all adult ministries of the church around the church's core vision.
Work with ministry leaders and volunteers to connect with our_noemailmunity through_noemailpassionate service and evangelism.
Oversee and regularly update the strategy for assimilating guests into the life of the church.
Maintain an awareness of current trends and best practices within churches and ministries of_noemailparable size
Participate in general pastoral duties as needed (Weddings, Funerals, counseling, visitation, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS:
A passion for equipping the saints (Eph 4:12); a heart that delights in shepherding, discipleship, and leadership development.
The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality and has a personal history of small group involvement and disciple making.
A person who is equally_noemailfortable ministering to people inside or outside the church.
At least 3 years' experience on a church staff in a leadership capacity.
Good teacher and verbal_noemailmunicator who can share preaching responsibilities from time to time.
An ability to lovingly and confidently confront problems and deal wisely with conflicts among ministry leaders and the broader congregation.
Must have a growing relationship with Christ.
Must have excellent people skills and possess the ability to work with people of all generations within the church.
Must be well versed in scripture and theology and meet the Biblical standards for an elder found in Titus 1:5-9, 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and 1 Peter 5:1-4.
Must agree with our doctrinal statement and philosophy of ministry.
