PURPOSE
The Pastor of Discipleship partners with the Lead Pastor, Timberlake leaders, staff, and congregation to reach, feed, and release people to be the hands and feet of Jesus

FAITH
The Pastor of Discipleship is a committed and mature disciple of Jesus Christ, dedicated to the highest ideals of the Christian life, who bears witness to the grace of God, possesses gifts for local church ministry, and whose work produces fruit for God's mission in the world.

GIFTING
Timberlake will thrive under the leadership of a Pastor of Discipleship who is gifted for pastoral care, discipleship, shepherding, theology, leadership, communication, visioning, team building, leadership development, preaching, and reaching new people.

EDUCATION
Seminary Education preferred
Training in theology, Bible, and the practice of ministry preferred

THEOLOGICAL FIT
The ideal candidate will fit well with Timberlake by a commitment to and an ability to articulate a theology that is Biblical, Wesleyan, orthodox, missional, relational, evangelical, and sacramental.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Discipleship
a. Visitation and pastoral care
b. Supervises Pastor of Visitation
c. Oversees and develops the LifeGroup ministry
d. Writes and publishes ROOTED devotions
2. Outreach
a. Develops online campus
b. Develops satellite campus
c. Supervises Minister of Connections
3. Preaching and worship leading
a. Leads weekly worship through prayer, Scripture reading, and sacraments
b. Preaches occasionally
c. Presides at weddings and funerals
