KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General
Be fully engaged and_noemailmitted to the mission and vision of Central
Participate in all team meetings and retreats as directed
Contribute ideas & planning to the Next Generation Team
Participate in all church services and prayer meetings
Be actively involved in discipleship with a new believer and/or developing leader
Be available in the foyer and at the altar to connect and minister to people on Sundays
Provide all pastoral functions within credentials, including visitation, weddings & funerals
Perform other duties as determined essential by the Lead Pastor
Student Ministries
1. Primary evangelistic leader and_noemailmunicator for entire student ministry (grades 6-12)
2. Cultivate a revival lifestyle in students by equipping them to minister to others supernaturally
3. Connect appropriately with the youth, demonstrating Biblical love,_noemailpassion and concern
4. Be aggressive at addressing the real issues that today's youth face, emphasizing the reality that there is no junior Holy Spirit, so nothing is impossible with God
5. Recruit, equip and assist leaders in planning & conducting a_noemailprehensive youth ministry including a specific team to lead Junior and Senior High separately
6. Develop a_noemailprehensive plan for worship, assimilation, discipleship and leadership development
7. Integrate youth into the church-at-large, including serving roles, outreaches and special events
8. Oversee the Fine Arts director and the development of all creative arts in our youth
9. Be actively engaged inside local public schools, helping to develop and foster Bible Clubs, etc.
10. Provide a variety of ongoing after-school, evening, weekend and summer ministries at The Rock
11. Cultivate an active missions awareness and involvement by partnering with the Pastor of Missions
12. Plan and coordinate special events that involve all youth at varying levels
13. Assume the role of a spiritual shepherd for the middle school students of CCA, including chapel
14. Create and enforce policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment
Parents
15. Create healthy partnerships with parents to equip them to set a Godly example for their child
16. Establish a discipleship plan for parents to go deeper into current teaching topics
17. Promote and oversee regular parenting classes/seminars for raising Christian teenagers
18. Communicate relevant family and parenting resources (i.e. websites, magazines, devotionals, social media, etc.) to active church families
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred
3+ years experience in youth ministry, paid or volunteer
Active Credentials with the Assemblies of God preferred, or currently pursuing them
Agree to the Constitution and By-Laws of Central Assembly of God
Ability to cast vision, develop leadership and motivate youth to lead among peers
Must evidence the biblical pastoral qualifications (Titus 1:6-9; 1 Timothy3: 1-7) to care for teens
Evangelistic heart and burden for the lost, including passion,_noemailpassion and unconditional love
DESIRED SKILLS
Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills
Knowledgeable concerning relevant legal and ethical issues
Possess good oral and written_noemailmunication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other_noemailmonly used technologies
Excellent listening skills with the ability to recall important information
Able to multi-task and maintain_noemailposure under pressure
Begin and end projects within reasonable timeframe
Evidence of ability to recruit, equip and deploy volunteer teams
Works well with others and within a team

SALARY & SCHEDULE
Full time, salary plus benefits, exempt
40-50 hours/week
One weekday off per week, excluding special events and services
Weekend Schedule: Attend and serve at all worship and special services, including whole-church events, outreach events, etc.
On call as part of a rotation in evenings and weekends
