First Church of God, Peace Dale, RI is seeking a Senior Pastor who is responsible to the church for proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for using his/her skills in leadership, for engaging in pastoral care ministries to meet the needs of persons in the church as well as in the community and adheres to the tenets of the Church of God Movement, Anderson, Indiana.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
STRATEGIC VISIONING and EVALUATION
- The Senior Pastor is tasked with crafting and implementing a comprehensive vision that aligns with the church's growth and community needs, including but not limited to recommending budget allocations to the BOT/Budget Committee.
- Develops strategic plans to enhance outreach and ministry impact while maintaining leadership consistency.
- Coordinates with lay leaders and staff to foster a consistent shared vision, demonstrating initiative and creativity in leading key internal and external ministries.
- Oversees and executes church administration through appropriate lay leadership teams, ensuring completion of ministry, business, facility, and logistical support functions.
- Ensures that systems, practices, policies, and by-laws responsibly and effective support ministry activities, while participating in regular performance evaluations to address the evolving needs of the congregation and its ministries.
- Submitting to an annual performance evaluation and review of the compensation package as outlined in the church by-laws.
SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP EXPERIENCE and WEEKLY PRAYER, PRAISE, and BIBLE STUDY
- Oversees dynamic worship experiences in partnership with ministry leaders to enhance engagement.
- Ensures alignment across Sunday School, Children's Ministry, and ordinances for a unified worship experience.
- Serves as the primary preacher for worship services, delivering inspiring and Biblically sound messages.
- Leads weekly prayer, praise, and Bible study sessions that foster spiritual growth.
DISCIPLESHIP
- Oversee discipleship programs designed to encourage spiritual development and leadership.
- Collaborates with ministries to design outreach initiatives that grown the congregation spiritually.
PASTORAL CARE
- Provides pastoral care, including visits and counseling to support individuals and families in need.
- Collaborates with ordained and lay ministers to extend pastoral care coverage.
- Responds promptly to crisis situations, offering compassionate support.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- Identifies and mentors leaders to support ministry expansion and sustainability.
- Develops strategies to bridge community needs and church outreach efforts.
- Able to provide guidance and leadership to all congregants.
DISPLAYS A VIBRANT RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR through a life of devotion, prayer, and obedience - 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-4 (required)
- Love for God, His Word, and His people
- Passion to see God's people grow strong and deep in their love for God with obedient lives
- Knowledge of the Bible, an appropriate understanding of God and His ways, a sound understanding of the Gospel and the basic Church of God doctrines for effective shepherding
- Ability to think theologically and biblically
- Strong moral character to provide an excellent Christian example
