Senior Pastor
Spiritual leader of Calvary Bible Church, responsible for preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and administrative leadership, overseeing Calvary Bible Church's spiritual health and mission.
Core Responsibilities
Spiritual Leadership
-Preaching and Teaching: Developing and delivering expository sermons, teaching biblical principles, and leading worship services.
-Pastoral Care: Providing spiritual guidance, counseling, and support to congregation members, including visiting the sick, bereaved, and those in need.
-Vision and Mission: Shaping the church's vision and mission, and ensuring that all ministry areas align with these goals.
Administrative Leadership
-Staff Leadership: Working in unison with CBC Elders board, mentoring and supporting church staff, including ministry leaders, and volunteers.
-Budget and Resources: Work with CBC Elders and Finance Committee on the church's budget and resources effectively, ensuring financial stability and sustainability.
-Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans for the church's growth and development.
Community Engagement
-Outreach and Missions: Organizing and leading community outreach and mission programs, both locally and globally.
-Building Relationships: Cultivating relationships with church members, community leaders, and other faith organizations.
Ceremonies and Events
-Officiating at Religious Events: Leading weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other religious ceremonies.
-Planning and Implementing Events: Overseeing the planning and execution of church events, such as retreats, conferences, and special services.
Other Duties
-Serving as a Role Model: Living a life that reflects the values and teachings of CBC Statement of Faith principles.
SENIOR PASTOR REMUNERATION: Full Time position based on typically a 40 hour work week, but could have hours outside normal working hours and weekends.
Skills / Qualifications:
-MMin. or MDiv. preferable. Bachelor's degree in theology or related field minimum may be considered.
-5+ years of experience in a pastoral or religious leadership role.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Must be able to agree with the CBC Constitution without having any mental reservation
-Able to lead and motivate a team.
-Knowledge of Christian teachings and doctrine.
-Able to build relationships and collaborate with other religious organizations.
-Passion for helping others and promoting the spiritual growth of church members.
-Must be able to obtain all PA required background checks.
