Job Description:
Fulltime Pastor of 140-year-old, rural/sub-urban, theologically moderate UCC church. Minister will attend to spiritual needs of congregation including nursing home, hospital, and in-home visits as well as counseling sessions as requested. Responsible to conduct funerals and weddings.
Pastor will supervise staff of four parttime employees and work with staff and church Consistory to plan and lead inspiring worship services and other special events. Deliver thoughtful, enthusiastic, and relevant Bible based sermons.
Pastor will assist and direct volunteer youth leader to strengthen and grow youth program. Will also assist and support Spiritual Formation (Sunday School) and other outreach programs instituted by the congregation.
Small, loving congregation with a core of dedicated and hard-working members. Traditional church open to moderating a bit toward more modern service. Seeking a minister with some musical background or knowledge.
