Job Description:
The Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Church of Clarion's primary responsibility is to lead the body in fulfilling its primary_noemailmitment. Cornerstone Church is_noemailmitted to knowing, loving, and serving God. We are an independent theologically conservative church in the tradition of Southern Baptist. Striving to be more Christ-like through praying, fasting, and seeking His direction, we study His Word and encourage everyone to develop a personal relationship with our Lord, making disciples through:
Ministry programs for all age groups
Worship & Praise services to reach the lost & challenge the believer
Discipleship training (reach, teach, grow, repeat)
Outreach (local, state, national & international missions)
Community (serve in unity and fellowship of believers)
The ideal candidate will be passionate about following Jesus, have a calling for the ministry, and be doctrinally sound as Cornerstone has adopted in its Statement of Faith and Message in beliefs and teaching. The Lead Pastor should be a person of prayer. The Lead Pastor should be a visionary leader and effective_noemailmunicator. The Lead Pastor should also have a shepherd's heart, be a servant leader, and be someone who can provide care, wisdom, and guidance to people of all ages. Cornerstone Church calls for a Lead Pastor who will increase the passion and effectiveness of the church body in_noemailmunity outreach and biblical application.
The Lead Pastor is responsible to the church to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to preach the biblical revelation, to engage in pastoral care ministries, to provide leadership in all areas of church life, and to serve as leader of all paid/and or volunteer staff. The Lead Pastor must be open to the Lord's leading, serve and equip the congregation, witness with the purpose of saving the lost and making disciples, love people and love the God of Heaven and Earth.
