Social Media Manager
Job Description:
At Unity Community Church, we are seeking to reach people through social media and other
digital media content. We are looking for someone who is already very knowledgeable in the
digital media field but is also willing to learn new skills along the way.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Creates engaging social media content on all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, etc.)
Creates engaging marketing materials that can either be printed or posted
Takes photographs at any & all events, worship services, KidZone, Student Ministry activities, etc.
Takes videos at any & all events, worship services, KidZone, Student Ministry activities, etc.
Edits videos & pictures taken to post or archive for future use
Engages in_noemailments after posting on social media on all platforms
Builds a social media strategy that coincides with the vision of the church
Films/conducts interviews (devotionals, volunteer appreciation, testimonies, etc.) to either be shown on Sunday mornings or throughout the week on social media
Recruits and maintains team of volunteers to assist taking photos and videos at larger church events
Recruits volunteers to supply additional content
Reports directly to the Technical Director
Must be available on Sunday mornings for services.

Qualifications:
Education:
College degree preferred, with a focus in Communications and/or Ministry
Experience:
At least 2 years experience with working in a ministry environment or in a digital communication environment (internships & volunteering included)
Other:
Dedicated Christ-follower
Must know how to use Adobe Master Collection (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
Must be knowledgeable and proficient in photography, video recording and editing of both images and video.
