Noonday Baptist Church is a growing southern Baptist church located in Marietta, Georgia. Currently we are searching for a Student Pastor to lead our Student Ministry, grades 7-12. Candidates should meet the requirements for a pastor as listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. The Student Pastor is responsible to the Senior Pastor for the purpose of developing the overall direction and plans for this Ministry as well as developing and leading volunteers in providing a comprehensive ministry of worship, fellowship, discipleship and missional engagement. Interested parties should submit a resume with a cover letter along with at least one video of the candidate teaching a youth audience.
Work cooperatively with Senior Pastor to develop the Student Ministry in order to disciple and grow the children of Noonday Baptist Church according to the scriptures.
Attend all staff meetings and activities including Bible studies and all church and staff functions.
Candidate and immediate family are expected to be active members of Noonday Baptist Church and regularly attend worship services, LIFE Groups, and church events.
Develop creative discipleship and teaching plans for instruction on Sunday mornings as well as Wednesday night student classes.
Plan "fun" student events once per month outside of the regular church schedule of Sunday morning LIFE Group or Wednesday night activities.
Recruit, organize and lead volunteers and team members needed to sustain the Student Ministry.
Plan ways to be involved in the high schools in our area with the goal of engaging the youth in our community and being of service. This would involve being part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, school clubs, band, sports, or academics.
Be a pastor to the students and volunteers as well as other members of the church, through ministering and visitation as needed.
Build supportive working relationships with church staff, deacons and church members.
Work effectively within and manage the Student Ministry budget.
Candidate should be committed to a personal, growing relationship with Christ.
Candidate should be a gifted and relatable communicator in small and large settings.
Candidate should be passionate about leading, growing and having fun with students.
Candidate must be a college graduate. Seminary education is preferred.
Candidate should have experience in leading student ministries in the local church.
Candidate is expected to be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
