Job Description:
The successful candidate will preferably have an undergraduate degree in a related field of study, and experience in leading the teams of both paid staff and volunteers for a church of at least 750. The effective Children's Pastor will be_noemailmitted to meeting and achieving the following goals during the first 24-months of work:
Increased participation in the student program both in children's attendance and volunteer involvement.
Increased levels of excellence being achieved across all student areas.
A fully developed, functioning, and expanding student leadership pipeline.
Systems developed to improve Wednesday evening experiences for students, parents, and volunteers.
Spiritual and personal growth among volunteers is evident.
Student area is a prominent ministry and a highlight of the church.


 

About River Valley Christian Fellowship:

River Valley is a 12 year old church that has never stopped acting like a Church plant. Our founding Pastor is still here, and his original vision of reaching young families and helping connect them to Jesus is what we are still passionate about today. We are poised for growth due to our fantastically friendly culture, our prime campus location right between two growing 5A High Schools, and a campus expansion project of a new 700 seat worship center and renovated children's space, both set to open in Dec 2019. With all God has given us, we are projecting 50% growth in the year 2020, from 800 to 1200 in average attendance. We have a playbook ready to implement this plan. But, we need your help.  

Qualifications:

Skills Required:
Must be highly motivated and always looking for new and innovative ways of reaching people.
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the student ministry
Must have a proven track record of developing people and programs.
The ability to ensure that our environment is safe, fun, relational and creative so that students thrive and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Find and develop ways to connect parents in the spiritual growth of their students.
Must be proficient in speaking to large groups as this person will be the main preacher at least three to five Sundays a year.
We are and will continue to be a church planter. It would be an added benefit if you desire to be a part of that process and have the ability to grow lead a church plant in the future.
