Position Title: VBM Youth & Young Adult Director
Reports to: Administrative Director
Start Date: Immediate Opening
Hours: Part-time 8 hours per week (not including service time)
The Youth and Young Adult Pastor at Victorious Believers Ministries (VBM) will be responsible for the spiritual development, discipleship, and guidance of youth and young adults within the church. This position requires a passionate and dedicated individual with a heart for the next generation, in alignment with the vision of the Senior Pastor and the overall mission of the church. Key Responsibilities:
~ Spiritual Development & Discipleship
~ Lead and mentor youth and young adults to grow spiritually, naturally, and emotionally in their faith journey by Developing and delivering biblically sound lessons that nurture spiritual maturity and personal development.
~ Oversee the leadership team within the youth and young adult ministries, ensuring they are equipped and supported in their roles.
~ Align with the heart and vision of the Senior Pastor, serving as an active participant in the overall ministry goals of the church.
~ Attend weekly staff meetings, providing input and feedback on youth and young adult ministry initiatives. Engaged in other parts of the overall ministry leadership
~ Organize and lead regular Bible studies, small groups, and life group sessions for young adults.
~ Actively engage in the church's prayer ministry, helping guide others to grow in their prayer life.
~ Comfortable creating, planning, leading or facilitating worship services, Bible studies, or small groups for both youth and young adult ministries that will attract and retain young people.
~ To plan and provide activities and outings for youth/young adults to meet their social needs.
~ Coordinator to have sufficient workers to help supervise these social activities.
~ Be proactive in reaching out to the community, helping to win souls for Christ, and disciple new converts.
~ Experience in follow-up, support and nurturing new converts, and work closely with the VBM discipleship team helping them to grow spiritually in their faith journey and stay connected to the church community.
~ Coordinate fund-raising activities to generate funding for youth programming (i.e. weekly offering, fundraising activity). Incorporate specific funding/projects within the annual budget. Submit the annual budget to the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
~ Spiritual & Character Qualifications
~ Ability to engage, teach, and disciple youth and young adults in a relatable and impactful way.
~ Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and work with diverse groups.
~ Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to work well with church leadership, youth, parents, and the congregation.
~ Background Check
~ Willingness to undergo regular background checks to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth and young adults in the ministry.
Other General/Personal Responsibilities:
~ Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed bible study, prayer and meditation.
~ Member who faithfully attends services and teaching ministries.
~ Financially support the work of VBM by faithfully tithing (10% of your income). Maintain wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90%.
~ Promote and support the overall vision of the Church and Pastor
