Bring your love of worship to a growing_noemailmunity of believers in Portland, Oregon. We are seeking a candidate who can use their musical and technical gifts to create dynamic multi-media worship experiences for a growing congregation that seeks to reach people in the Portland metropolitan area. Lead an enthusiastic team to support strong teaching with a worship experience.
You will have the opportunity to help grow the worship ministry through strengthening volunteer teams, planning and implementing multi-media worship. Sound, lighting, video, live-stream, and camera operation are all part of the experience. You will have the chance to_noemailanize and lead weekly rehearsals, work with youth volunteers, and run special worship services
OBJECTIVES
Oversee the development and management of the worship, music, and tech. ministries of Portland Community Church.
Lead the church in vibrant worship of God and lead the church to growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, develop and mentor (musically, technically, and spiritually) participants in the worship ministry
Work with the Lead Pastor in planning worship services, including selection of songs and other musical/worship_noemailponents that fit with the weekly message and theme
Recruit, develop, and encourage volunteer musicians to assist in worship services
Recruit, develop, and encourage volunteer sound, lighting, video and camera techs to assist in and create materials for worship services
Recruit, develop, and encourage volunteers with dramatic dance, theater arts, and other types of arts to contribute to worship services
Organize and lead weekly worship rehearsals
Recruit, develop and work with youth in the church to participate in our worship teams
Recruit, develop and work with leaders to produce at least two children's choir productions in our worship services each year
Have a heart for worship and be the producer of all our worship services
Assist with_noemailanizing and leading special worship services (Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, Weddings, Funerals, and Concerts)
Report to and conform with CCLI to maintain copyright integrity
Manage the Worship Ministry budget
Oversee hosts, ushers, connections, and_noemailmunion teams
Develop teams to oversee church technology: website, social media, online livestream and videos
Help with other ministries in the church as agreed to with the Lead Pastor
Preach as agreed to with the Lead Pastor
EXPECTATIONS

Through efforts in the worship and tech ministries, help the church to grow in reaching new people.
Be a team player in working with other church staff
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree

The Minister of Creative Worship must be committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and to leading the people of Portland Community Church into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ through the ministry of worship.
