Worship Leader Job - The Corner Church, Herndon, Virginia

Worship Leader Responsibilities:

- Select music for worship experiences (aligning with each week's sermon or series)

- Lead rehearsals with the worship band

- Actively recruit, train, schedule, and disciple worship team volunteers

- Plan, develop, and coordinate special church worship services (e.g., Christmas Eve, Nights of Worship)

- Build services using Planning Center

- Ensure an environment of excellence at each service, in partnership with the production team

- Manage all worship-related i_noemaile and expenditures

- Work in a team environment with our staff, contributing to evaluation, discussions, and decisions

Core Competencies:

- Committed follower of Jesus Christ, seeking to know, love and serve God

- Excellent vocal ability

- Intermediate to advanced proficiency on guitar or keyboard

- Ability to read music (playing by ear is a plus)

- Ability to pray and speak appropriately during worship transitions

- Experience leading and teaching an eclectic group of musicians

- Basic proficiency with sound, lighting, ProPresenter, video editing, and video production equipment and methodology, and willing to learn what you don't know

- Knowledge of / willing to learn best practices in worship service design, modern worship music, traditional hymns, and secular songs appropriate for worship settings.
