Worship Leader Job - Platt City United Methodist Church , Platte City, Missouri

Direct music (4 songs a week) and provide lead vocals for the worship at the new Sunday 10:45am Blended Service throughout the year. This may also include special services, including Easter and Christmas.

Provide leadership over the praise band, including recruiting, auditioning and directing volunteer musicians and vocalists. Currently, there is no praise band.

Coordinate and schedule regular practices,_noemailmunicate song choices and other necessary information regularly with praise band members, and ensure that the team is prepared to lead the congregation in worship.

Work closely with the Pastor and Media/Sound technicians to collaborate in producing excellent worship. This may on occasion include visioning and planning meetings, in addition to the usual practice times.

Work with the Pastor to finalize weekly song choices and design worship that allows congregational participation in a creative and worshipful experience. Song choices need be put into Planning Center by Thursday morning each week.

Work in coordination with the band to maintain_noemailanization, management, and set up of instruments and other necessary equipment, including music stands, chords, and microphones.
