Worship Leader Job - St. Luke Church, Wellington, Missouri

Staff Position: Worship Leader, permanent, part-time

Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing and executing the worship experience for St. Luke; lead a team of musicians to create dynamic and_noemailpelling worship experiences in keeping with the vision and overall worship strategy of St. Luke.

Qualifications:
Solid testimony: Must exhibit an authentic and contagious relationship with Jesus Christ, both upfront and in their personal life. Someone who is able to embrace and agree with the EFCA statement of faith.
Experience: Proven track record as a worship leader ( or similar) and team builder. Prefer a demonstrated ability to administer and grow a music and worship program that connects with the constituency of the church. Is able to play an instrument and participate weekly; embraces both traditional and contemporary music.
Education: Minimum high school diploma and certificate in music, worship and/or Bible. College with Bachelor degree preferred plus a strong background in music, technology and the Bible.
Leadership and Administration: Excellent_noemailanization and_noemailmunication skills, proven record of building strong teams,_noemailfortable delegating responsibility. While the candidate must have strong musical gifts, their influence, leadership, and ministry to others will be important.
Personal: The candidate must be self-motivated, passionate about uplifting the worship experience, and demonstrate good social skills throughout the congregation.

Responsibilities:
Communicate with the Pastor weekly for Sunday worship planning and for long-term and special program/holiday event planning.
Create the weekly A/V presentation (PowerPoint) including all lyrics, in coordination with the technology team . (Use CCLI as needed.)
Prepare, schedule, and lead regular music rehearsals with volunteer musicians; introduce a balance of favorites and new music. (Current musicians include pianist,_noemailanist, guitar, vocalists; currently we use Planning Center).
Personally lead worship on Sunday mornings.
Recruit, train and motivate volunteers; help take others to their next level of ministry.
Work within the annual worship budget parameters and provide input annually.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the music ministry.
Accountability: Reports to Senior Pastor; annual review with Church Council and Pastor.

Compensation: Salaried position for part-time work based on experience and training plus agreed upon expectations at time of hire. Two weeks paid vacation provided.
