Official Job Description:

Worship Pastor
Principal Function: The Worship Pastor develops, plans, administers and leads the worship ministries of the church to ensure that worship continues to grow in scope and excellence to the glory of God and in harmony with the church's mission statement.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Discipleship
a. Direct the planning, coordination, operation and evaluation of a_noemailprehensive worship ministry.
b. Plan the music content of all worship services and other special services in partnership with the Senior Pastor
c. Lead the congregation in a worship experience that glorifies God, recognizes His presence and celebrates His worth.
d. Ensure that all lyrics used are theologically sound and Gospel centered.

2 Outreach
a. Plan, coordinate, and conduct music related outreach events for the_noemailmunity.
b. Personally witness to the lost on a regular basis.

3. Inreach
a. Minister to worship ministry volunteers who are sick, hospitalized, or in crisis. Provide counsel,_noemailfort and encouragement to those who are suffering and to their family members.
b. Participate in the general pastoral care of the congregation as called upon by the Senior Pastor.
c. Provide, as needed, music for church funerals and weddings or other church events, such as Women's and Men's ministry events.

4. Leadership Development
Recruit, train and oversee individuals with the spiritual maturity, gifts, and talents to serve in the church's worship ministry.

5. Administration
a. Develop and manage the annual budget for the worship/music ministry.
b. Be responsible for the maintenance, care, and addition of music, musical instruments, production lighting, sound and all related equipment.
c. Ensure_noemailpliance with copyright laws as it relates to the worship ministries

6. Personal Growth
a. Grow in your personal walk with the Lord and faithfully practice the spiritual disciplines.
b. Pursue opportunities for professional development.

7. Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:
1. A born-again believer in Jesus Christ.
2. Demonstrates a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
3. Adheres to the Belle Aire Baptist Church Articles of Faith.
4. Meets the requirements of Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3.
5. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Worship Ministry leadership.
6. Ability to oversee choir and praise band
7. Ability to lead with an instrument (piano, guitar, etc.) preferred
8. Seminary degree preferred

Status: Full-time, salaried, exempt
Supervises: Worship Secretary, Belle Aire Academy Director, AV/Tech Team
Reports To: Senior Pastor
