ABOUT THE WORSHIP PASTOR POSITION

Position Summary:

The role of the Worship Pastor is to serve in collaboratively with the Senior Pastor in overseeing and coordinating the worship ministry at Impact Church. The Worship Pastor takes on the responsibility of guarding the spiritual culture and character of the worship ministry and its Dream Team volunteer servants of Impact Church and other people or groups as assigned by the Worship Pastor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Worship Team Volunteers.
Oversee the coordination of weekly Worship Team Rehearsals.
Oversee the scheduling of all musicians.
Oversee the structures and systems of Worship.
Oversee the Audio/Visuals
Plan and implement Impact Worship projects and goals.
Assist with training and resourcing new members of Next Steps.
Fulfill the requirements and faithfully perform the duties of "Pastor" at Impact Church to the best their ability.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Pastoral Care
Instrumentalist
Conduct research of other churches regarding their approach to worship/music ministry
All other duties as assigned.

Extent of Public Contact:

Daily contact with members of Impact Worship.
Pastors and staff members.
Worship Dream Team members.
Audio/Visual Setup Team members.
Congregants seeking pastoral counsel/advice.

Experience and Knowledge Required:

Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to learn and use software.
Ability to learn and use Planning Center Online software.
Ability to map songs for teams.
Ability to learn and use ProPresenter.
Proficiency in voice and piano or guitar.
Ability to create, coordinate and lead a worship experience with a team.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provide direct leadership, discipleship, and management of the Worship Team & Audio/Visual Leaders.
**Depending on the giftedness of the candidate this role will have the opportunity to include another area of ministry oversight.

Credentials

A passionate deep faith in Christ with a minimum 3 years' experience worship leading in a local church.
Preferred Seminary Master's or minimum of Bachelor.
