Young Adult/Discipleship Pastor Job - CrossLife Church, Oviedo, Florida

Position Summary:
CrossLife Church is a family-oriented, gospel-centered church with a mission to build lives that matter by teaching people to love, know, trust, and follow Jesus. We are located in Oviedo Florida, just outside of Orlando, where within a five-mile radius of the church the fastest growing demographic is adults 24-35. We are excited about adding a Minister of Young Adults to our team. The Minister of Young Adults will implement a_noemailprehensive program of leading young adults—24-35 years old, both single and married—in a growing relationship with Jesus. This person must have the ability to reach and attract young adults from the_noemailmunity. They must also possess an entrepreneurial quality to be able to assess the opportunities to maximize the potential for reaching young adults and their families in the Oviedo/Winter Springs area. It is essential that this person also be able to connect with young adults on a social and spiritual level, with the intent of discipling them towards Christ-like maturity.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to the Senior Pastor and Senior Associate Pastor
Serve as part of the ministerial staff of CrossLife Church
Work with the other department heads to achieve an integrated approach to ministry
Supervise Young Adult Ministry volunteers

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Small Groups – Small Groups are one of our primary vehicles for young adults to promote_noemailmunity connection, application and growth. The Minister to Young Adults must have the ability to recruit, train and multiply our Small Group leaders to ensure health, balance and number of groups are available. They must also possess an entrepreneurial quality to be able to assess the opportunities to maximize the potential for reaching young adults and their families in the Oviedo/Winter Springs area. This person must also ensure that Small Groups are integrated into the fabric of all young adult ministries to achieve the goals of spiritual growth and connection for adults age 24-35 in our congregation and_noemailmunity.

Leadership of Adult Discipleship Ministries – Provide leadership for Wednesday Night Adult Discipleship through the recruitment of teachers and providing curriculum which will be targeted to address spiritual growth and the healthy Christian relationship needs of all adults, including young adults (post college years), married couples and families, as well as senior adults. Current ministries include Small Groups, Foundations classes, Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry, Senior Adults Ministry and GriefShare.

Community Engagement – Our vision is to share the gospel of Jesus wherever we live, work, play and go so the sun will not set on the ministry of CrossLife Church. The Minister of Young Adults will be directed to implement an intentional and strategic plan to ensure the church is sharing that vision in our own backyard through_noemailmunity involvement with a mission that will impact the surrounding area for the gospel.

OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ministry
Work closely with young adults to develop and encourage their spiritual growth in Christ
Provide guidance and support based on Biblical principles to young adults
Provide leadership for atmosphere, Young Adult trips, retreats and classes
Provide church-wide visibility and_noemailmunication to Young Adult activities and ministries
Identify, develop and implement solutions to strategic needs for Young Adult Ministry
Articulate a_noemailpelling vision for median adult ministry/discipleship within the vision of CrossLife Church
Develop an annual strategic plan for achieving the ou_noemailes including a core discipleship/spiritual growth curriculum and plan that emphasizes loving, knowing, trusting, and following Jesus.
Leadership
Build a Young Adult Ministry leadership team
Clearly define desired ministry ou_noemailes for young adult church leaders, members and attenders
Manage an annual budget for the Young Adult Ministry and_noemailmunity engagement area
Recruit, train, motivate and effectively manage Young Adult Ministry volunteers
Regularly measure achievement of the desired ministry goals and implement changes as necessary to improve overall ministry effectiveness
Mobilize the church body at large toward_noemailmunity engagement

Qualifications and Experience:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a passionate relationship with Him that is evident to all who know him
Consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle that_noemailplies with the Biblical qualifications of an elder as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:7-9
A man of prayer and a man of the Word, sensitive to what the Spirit is doing in his life, as well as the life of the church.
