Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure that curriculum used at each level of spiritual development connects to the next
Encourage and lead ministry leaders to connect regularly with parents in homes so parents experience a clear partnership in the discipleship of their children.
Maintaining a 13-month calendar with special events, lesson plans, etc.
Oversee the children / youth ministry as a whole and lead (and recruit) volunteers. Youth ministries include children through teenage years. Ministries may include (but is not limited to) Sunday School, AWANA, VBS, (teens) Youth Group, and youth activities.
Getting youth involved in the ministry of the church as a whole
When possible, attend graduations, sporting events, and other special events for youth
Creating a plan report for growth (both numerically and spiritually) for the youth
Occasional preaching opportunities in the main services.
A successful candidate is not intended to do all the work of this ministry himself, but rather to inspire and lead others to do the work of the ministry alongside him.
You will also be working side-by-side with the senior and assistant pastors as a team and will meet regularly.
Bachelor's degree in related field
An established doctrinal statement for the board's review
Comfortable with modern technology
Musical talent (singing, instrument, etc)
