Job Description:

We are looking for someone to lead our Youth Ministry team. Responsibilities would include supervising and speaking at a midweek youth service on Wednesday nights and teaching a Sunday school class, as well as supervising youth events, trips to camps and conferences, special services, parties, youth leadership meetings, etc. Some fill in preaching at Sunday main services may also be required.

Our group consists of students between 6th and 12th grade and averages 25-35 students/week. We have several youth workers. Although church would like to pay full time, the current pay opportunity is 20 hrs/week. Additional hours are available for conferences and camps.

There are many opportunities for supplemental employment in the_noemailmunity. Community industry is mining/tourism. Silver Mountain Resort is in our town. We have a lot of outdoor activities which include skiing, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, hunting, and fishing.

Job will be open mid to late July 2018.
 

About Silver Valley Assembly of God:

This church has been around for several decades. We are still fairly small, but we do what we can for the community. Our feeding programs serve more than 200 meals/month. On Sundays, we run between 30 and 50 people. Midweek runs 40-50 as well, and is mostly students attending the youth service. In the course of a month, we will serve more than 100 individuals through our various ministries. We strive for a family atmosphere and it seems we succeed.
We are part of the Northwest Ministry Network, North Idaho Section. We have some of the best leaders around. Network Leadership is loving, encouraging, and supportive.
We also have a good relationship with several ministry leaders in our area. The Lead Pastor has been in the community for 12+ years and is bi-vocational.

 

Qualifications:

We prefer someone with AG credential but will work with someone who is in process of getting credentials. Applicant should be self-driven and able to work with other ministry leaders. Although this position is focused on youth ministry the leader should be willing to support the other ministries of the church and participate in church-wide events.
