The First Baptist Church of Aurora is seeking to fill the position of Minister of Youth and Young Adults. This is a part-time position that averages about 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities
1. Recruit, train, and assist volunteers to work with youth. This will include Youth Leaders Team meetings (bimonthly) and CE meetings (quarterly).
2. Be actively involved in planning and leading Sunday night youth group meetings which run from 5:30 until 8:00 followed by a short leaders meeting.
3. Assist in planning events such as mission trips, fun activities, and service
projects. There will be a bonus provided for special trips.
4. Participate in Area I Youth events.
5. Develop youth programs as opportunities arise.
6. Develop Young Adult Ministry. We have a good group of young adults who have been through our youth program. Several of them are in leadership in the church.
7. Be present on Sunday mornings to connect with youth and young adults.

Terms of Employment
1. The person will be responsible to the pastor and the Christian Education Committee.
2. Compensation is commensurate with training and experience.
3. The person will receive two weeks of paid vacation per year.
4. Continuing education money will be made available.
